This year’s closing key note speaker is Lloyd Axworthy. A Nobel Peace Prize nominee and former foreign minister, Lloyd Axworthy strives to promote dialogue, education, policies and partnerships aimed at solving pressing issues both local and global, focusing on governance, human security, and sustainability. Lloyd Axworthy currently serves as the President of the University of Winnipeg and as a member of the UN International Commission for the Legal Empowerment and the Poor. Currently, he is innovating planning to improve access and retention of aboriginal post-secondary students.
Lloyd Axworthy will be speaking on March 5th at 6pm in the Arts building, 1E1 at Wilfrid Laurier University.
